Tonight, the Lexington, KY band, Shemale Fiesta will be laying to rest
Its brief, but certainly unforgettable;
two year run as the undisputed premier party band in Lexvegas.
Their story, is complexly rooted with factual informantion and, yet stranger than any fiction may care to be:
"Shemales have been around for a very long time. In fact, the first recorded shemale fossil was dated to be over 30 million years old. According to some very intelligent people, that means shemales are older then the very earth they inhabit. Fiestas are very common throughout the world, particularly in the southern part of the northern americas. Common items found at said fiestas include but are not limited to: mustaches, pinatas, maracas, tacos, cocaine, and (most importantly) people. Shemale Fiestas are a combination of two things, those being shemales and fiestas. They happen magically and are not common. It's almost like seeing a fucking unicorn, because everyone knows unicorns are asexual."
The band creed has always been simple...
"A party can go either way."
Tonights special guest is none other than Andy Duncan
"Andy D fancies himself the anachronistic love child of Punky Brewster and Lee Van Cleef – the perfect amalgam of a fictional rogue and a real-life badass. He plays music this like he lives life and it sounds like Andrew WK meets Grand Master Melle Mel or Like Prince if he couldn’t sing that well and if he weren’t a hyper-talented multi-instrumentalist. This is what his music is all about: part epicurean hip-hop-dance songs and part sincere dance rock songs, being eclectic and catchy is the only goal. “God Loves Drunk Chicks” is a infectious dance ditty lamenting date rape culture and “Just Push Play” is a witty indictment of “the next big thing” trend in the music industry and pop culture in general."
